People fascinate me. They are rich, complex creatures that never fail to surprise. When I am photographing someone, it becomes an exploration for me. With the camera, I can interview them and learn so much about them that most often goes unsaid.  People reveal sides of themselves in front of a camera that they can not do in conversation. A wink, a grimace, or faint gesture gives a window into a rich inner world that even they get to discover.

The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.
